CONSTRUCTION

Methods of Construction

Edge Grain End Grain Flat Grain
Edge grain construction is suitable for any counter top surface and will provide a durable and stable top. End Grain is the hardest wood surface and a different look for the discriminating chef. Flat Grain or "Plank Style" is more of a furniture type of construction.
Nominal 1 3/4" laminations running the length of the top. Random length laminations as used for chopping surfaces. Random width laminations typically 1 3/4" to 4" wide.
Available in thickness from 1 3/4" to 6". From a minimum of 2 1/4" all the way up to 6, the larger the top, the thicker the surface. 1 3/4" is the standard thickness for flat grain.
